“Hello everyone,
I am Akshaye Mathur, and I stand before you today not just as an individual with autism but as someone who believes in the power of potential, determination, and the right opportunities.
Growing up, I faced challenges in understanding things that seemed simple to others. Learning took time, and I often felt like I was running a different race. But I never let that stop me. Instead, I focused on what I could do, and slowly, I found my strengths.
I graduated with a degree in Computer Applications, proving to myself that perseverance can turn struggles into achievements. Today, I am a proud participant of the second batch of the Digital Employment Program by Approach Autism Society. This program has given me not just skills but confidence—confidence that I, too, can contribute meaningfully to society.
As a project member working on a digital platform, I am learning every day, growing with each task, and proving that neurodivergence is not a limitation—it is an untapped potential. I believe that with the right guidance and platform, individuals like me can excel and make a real difference.
My father serves in the defense forces and is currently in Shillong, Meghalaya. His discipline and dedication have been a source of inspiration for me. Just like him, I want to serve in my own way—not by protecting borders, but by breaking barriers for neurodivergent individuals like myself.
To everyone out there who doubts their abilities or feels unseen—know this: you have potential. You have value. And with the right support, you can achieve more than you ever imagined.
Thank you.”
