What do We Do?

Approach Autism Society, registered as “Approach Autism Society” with registration number “525/Jaipur/2011-12” ,
is a self-help group founded by parents of children with
Autism. The society was formed in September 2011 with the goal to strive for “What After Us?” for their children.
Autism is a complex, lifelong developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life. It is
known as
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) because symptoms range from a mild learning and social disability to severe
impairment. While the disorder is not rare (found in one out of every 150 newborns , or one in every 150 persons ), a
majority of autistic children in India are not being correctly diagnosed and do not receive the necessary services, due
to a tremendous lack of awareness and misunderstanding about autism, even among medical professionals.
Approach Autism is dedicated to addressing this gap by providing services to individuals with autism in Rajasthan
and adjoining states.
Vision and Mission
• Vision: Inclusion of all differently abled persons in the main stream global society.
• Mission: To establish infrastructure for persons with autism and multiple disability which offers equitable,
barrier-free and dignified services and offers them opportunity for livelihood with support of resourceful,
skilled members/stakeholders of the community/society.

Discovering Independence: Our Life Skills Program

At the Centre Approach Autism Society, we believe in empowering every student with the skills they need to live a fulfilling and independent life. Our Life Skills Program goes beyond the classroom to provide hands-on, engaging activities that build practical competence, confidence, and social interaction in a supportive, structured environment.

What Makes Our Program Unique?

Our approach is centered on creating meaningful experiences that translate directly into everyday life. We focus on functional skills delivered through fun, cultural, and creative projects.

  • Tailored Learning: Activities are adapted to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of students on the autism spectrum, ensuring everyone can participate and succeed.

  • Skill Transfer: We teach skills in a way that encourages students to apply them in various settings—at home, within the community, and in future vocational pursuits.

  • Holistic Development: The program fosters fine motor skills, focus, patience, following multi-step directions, and collaborative work.
