Role Overview

• The Onsite Senior ETL QA will lead quality assurance efforts for data platforms and Power BI solutions, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance across MDM, ETL, and reporting layers.
• This role involves defining test strategies, mentoring junior QA engineers, and collaborating with onshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a global delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies for data pipelines, MDM outputs, and Power BI dashboards.

• Lead functional, regression, and performance testing for large-scale data and BI solutions. Validate complex data transformations, DAX calculations, KPIs, and visualization logic.
• Develop automated testing frameworks for data quality and BI validation where applicable.
• Review and approve test plans, cases, and scripts prepared by junior QA engineers. Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Document defects, provide root cause analysis, and drive resolution with development teams.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards during QA processes.
• Mentor and guide offshore QA team members, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12 years of experience in QA for data platforms and BI solutions, with leadership exposure. Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and ETL testing.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI testing, including advanced DAX and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Informatica MDM data flows and AWS-based data environments. Experience in test automation tools for data and BI validation (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, or custom frameworks).
• Excellent communication skills for offshore/onshore coordination and stakeholder reporting. Knowledge of P&C Insurance domain is highly desirable.
