Major Food Group is hiring a passionate  Events Coordinator to join our NY team!

 

Major Food Group is a New York based hospitality company founded by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. From a small, intimate deli restaurant in Little Italy, MFG has evolved into a hospitality powerhouse creating iconic restaurants and gaining national and international attention for its unique style and culinary prowess. MFG operates a wide range of concepts and seeks to transcend traditional hospitality models by offering multi-dimensional, immersive experiences that are inspired by deep history and cultures. From classic steakhouses to casual French bistros, Japanese brasseries and cocktail bars, each concept is uniquely and intentionally designed with the goal of transporting guests to another time and place. We tell complete stories and provide guests unforgettable experiences.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Northeast Events Team, including but not limited to:
  • Fielding and filtering emails that come into the NYC and Boston events inboxes
  • Fielding phone calls for the NYC events office
  • Inputting leads into our event booking platform
  • Maintaining the events calendar
  • Acting as a liaison between the events team and guest relations team
  • Designing custom client event menus
  • Updating existing sales collateral as needed
  • Working on graphic design projects, such as creating and updating event brochures
  • Maintaining event resources such as contact lists, comp sets and food manuals
  • Keeping the NYC events office stocked with necessary supplies
  • Act as an ambassador to Major Food Group Culture
Required Experience:
  • 1-2 years of relevant hospitality experience, preferably in events or at a high end restaurant or hotel
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in providing administrative support in an office setting
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Experience working with TripleSeat a plus
  • Experience working with Adobe Acrobat & InDesign a plus

Compensation : $26.00 -$28.00 / hour
