Job Description

Join our team at the Greenville County Aquatic Complex, located in the beautiful Westside Park. We are seeking several part-time Swim Instructors who are passionate about teaching swimming to a diverse range of individuals, from children to adults. Our swim lesson program is accredited by the Starfish Aquatic Institute and approved by USA Swimming, offering a comprehensive curriculum for all ages and skill levels. We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for our community to learn and enjoy swimming.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming lessons to various age groups and skill levels, including Star Babies and Star Tots (6 months to 36 months), Starfish Swim School (3-12 years), and Adult lessons (13 years and older).
• Adhere to the curriculum and progression guidelines set by the Starfish Aquatic Institute and USA Swimming.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and patrons, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
• Complete required class documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old with knowledge of basic to advanced water skills.
• Previous experience (6 months) as a Swim Instructor or relevant certification is preferred.
• Must become certified in CPR/AED and First Aid after hire (training provided).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Compensation

The starting rate for this position is $12.61/hour .
