We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to provide a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services to support complex business and technology initiatives. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, document, and analyze requirements, and to support the design and implementation of effective IT solutions.
ResponsibilitiesLead and conduct business analysis to assess client business problems and opportunities, and document requirements for I&IT solutions.
Apply re-engineering concepts to identify and implement business improvements and cost-effective service delivery options.
Develop strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for I&IT initiatives.
Conduct requirements gathering using a variety of methods (e.g., JAD sessions, interviews, mockups).
Perform business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, and process/data flow modeling.
Define business rules, non-functional requirements, and traceability matrices.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report regularly to management and stakeholders.
Develop and advise on business analysis policies, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency across the organization.
Support architectural and design documentation aligned with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture, and Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including service-oriented design projects.
Strong understanding of systems environments, business analysis, and change management across multi-ministry government services.
Proven experience preparing detailed analysis and recommendations ensuring compliance with public sector, industry, and international standards on security, privacy, and accessibility (must have).
Ability to identify and address security issues affecting front-end and integrated systems.
Proficient in producing business and technical documentation and agreements.
Experience with architectural frameworks, particularly Zachman Framework (must have).
In-depth experience with Checkpoints, TRA, PIA, Component Architecture, and Design Patterns (must have).
Thorough experience developing Logical and Physical Architecture artifacts (must have).
Skilled in developing user stories , acceptance criteria , and collaborating within Agile/DevOps environments.
Strong knowledge of systems design principles, programming concepts, and software development methodologies.
Deep understanding of WCAG 2.0 Standards and AODA compliance .
Experience creating Wireframes, Use Cases, and User Stories (must have).
Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications (must have).
Experience with Driver and Vehicle ServiceOntario portal services (nice to have).
Minimum 5 years of experience creating enterprise architecture documentation, including:
Checkpoint/Gating Matrix
Logical and Physical Documentation
Logical and Physical Deployment Models
Business Architecture Approach
Sequence Diagrams
Data Flow Diagrams
Architectural documentation for ACT and ARB approvals
Knowledge of information management principles, policies, and practices.
Ability to translate business and data requirements into technical specifications.
Experience with business functional modeling, business process mapping, and object-oriented or agile methodologies.
Understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations.
10+ years of Business Analyst experience
Experience with LLMs and Generative AI applications
Expertise in security, privacy, and accessibility compliance
Knowledge of Checkpoints, TRA, PIA, Component Architecture, and Design Patterns
Experience with Logical and Physical Architecture artifacts
