Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join a facility in Plentywood, MT, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, create personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services to restore mobility, strength, and functional independence. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, adaptable, and experienced in rehabilitation therapy across diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients’ physical function, mobility, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening, gait training, balance exercises, and functional mobility activities.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safe use of assistive devices.
- Document therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress notes accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with occupational therapy, speech therapy, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated, patient-focused care.
- Support recovery and improved quality of life through evidence-based physical therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Montana (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience, preferably in rehabilitation settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, adaptable approach with experience supporting diverse patient populations.
