Water Treatment Technician – M-F / 9:45pm to 6:15am
Job Functions
Perform routine water quality testing for parameters such as pH, and turbidity, to ensure compliance with plant standards.
Monitor and adjust chemical amounts to ensure proper chemical use.
Use safe handling procedures to move and replace empty chemical containers using a forklift.
Maintain, and conduct minor repairs on water treatment equipment and distribution infrastructure to ensure a continuous supply of water.
Prepare detailed reports and maintain records of water quality data, equipment maintenance schedules, and any corrective actions taken to address system deficiencies.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work with shift leaders to ensure water quality and volume meets their needs.
Communicate daily with management on water treatment conditions.
Respond to and troubleshoot water quality deficiencies, help develop plans and Standard Operating Procedures to prevent deficiencies in the future.
Climb ladders to access top of tanks to inspect water conditions and chemical delivery systems.
Monitor and use computer interfaces to operate water systems.
Industrial Wastewater experience a plus
