Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical practices and the ability to perform various medical procedures. The Physician Assistant will be instrumental in diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and ensuring adherence to healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Administer medications and manage patient care under the supervision of a physician.
  • Perform medical-surgical procedures, including suturing as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
  • Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Operate neonatal ventilators and provide care for newborns requiring respiratory support.
  • Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Strong clinical skills with experience in medication administration and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Familiarity with medical-surgical practices and standards of care.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in clinical research is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential to maintain patient privacy.
