The Role — Pastry ChefAs our Pastry Chef, you will:
Create refined, artful desserts that complement Zōtō’s Japanese-inspired menu and elevate the overall dining experience.
Develop seasonal and signature dessert offerings that reflect our commitment to quality, seasonality, flavor balance, and presentation.
Collaborate with culinary and beverage leadership to design harmonious dessert pairings — from sake and Japanese whisky to cocktails and wine.
Maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety in all pastry preparation and plating.
Manage dessert station prep, inventory, storage, and organization to support smooth service in a fine-dining, high-end sushi-driven environment.
Bring creativity, precision, and a passion for craftsmanship, blending Japanese sensibilities with global pastry techniques.
Has proven experience as a Pastry Chef, ideally in fine dining or upscale Asian-fusion or Japanese settings.
Possesses strong pastry technique, creativity, and an eye for detail, from flavor balance to elegant plating and presentation.
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen, collaborating closely with chefs and front-of-house staff.
Appreciates the values of seasonality, ingredient-driven cooking, and thoughtful hospitality.
Is excited by the idea of crafting desserts that are not just food, but a final, memorable “gift” for guests.
