Job Description

AB Staffing is looking for experienced Licensed School Social Workers that are available for the 25/26 school year.

School Social Workers Needed in Oak Forrest, IL: 

• Contract through the school year 
• Contract follows the academic district calendar – 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset

Essential Functions:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Support students with IEPs and contribute to IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration.
• Address issues such as attendance, behavior, and crisis intervention.
• Serve as a liaison between the school and community resources.

School Social Worker Essential Job Functions:

• Help students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Assist students through early identification, prevention, intervention, counseling, and support.
• Develop and teach intervention strategies to help students achieve academic goals.
• Work with family members and other individuals in child’s life to help support their development, learning, and adjustment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work preferred. 
• Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

Pay :

• $1,950 - $2,175 per week.
