UPMC is hiring a Full-time, General Maintenance 1/General Maintenance 2 to support the hospital in Harrisburg.

Individuals with trade school completion or general maintenance experience will be given priority. 

Schedule is day shift: 4-10-hour shifts which includes every other weekend

You will need to provide your own hand tools, UPMC will provide power tools and specialty tools. 

Final candidate will be hired into appropriate job title and salary based on experience and education. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
• Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, carpentry/hardware repairs, and mechanical equipment and systems.
• Assist with and maintain general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.
• Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Perform all work following infection control procedures.
• Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
• Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Assist in snow removal.
• Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
• Minor changes in air handlers, terminal devices and fan coils. 
• Minor preventative maintenance of chillers, boilers and cooling towers.
