Job Description

P.R. Russell, a family-owned and operated mulch & soil manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Located in Brentwood, NH, we pride ourselves on providing top-quality bark mulch, soil, and compost products to our customers across New England and the Mid-Atlantic. As we continue to expand our product range, we are looking for self-motivated and energetic team members who can help us maintain our commitment to excellent customer service and product quality.

Responsibilities

• This is a year round position
• Operate front-end loader to meet production needs and customer orders.
• Prepare soil products for packaging via pad blending.
• Load trucks and feed grinders, hoppers, color machines, screeners, etc.
• Understand product mixes and quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and keep machines clean.
• Execute pile management practices.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and customers.
• Learn to operate other machinery as needed.
• Assist in any task that needs to be accomplished.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience operating a front-end loader in a work environment.
• Mulch and/or soil production experience.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work with limited direction.
• Basic math skills.
• Reliable transportation.
