About the Role:

EGS Security Solutions is seeking reliable, professional Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to join our Northern Virginia team. Our mission is simple: safeguard life and property . Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence, remain vigilant, and respond effectively to any situation while representing EGS and our clients with integrity.

• Patrol assigned sites to deter criminal activity and promote safety.
• Control property access and verify authorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies quickly and appropriately.
• Write detailed daily activity and incident reports.
• Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and law enforcement.
• De-escalate conflicts and assist in emergency situations.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests, and the public.
• Uphold DCJS standards and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

Unarmed Officer Requirements:

• Valid Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Officer registration.
• High school diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizen or legal resident authorized to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation and open availability (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Clean criminal background and drug-free.

Armed Officer Requirements (in addition to above):

• Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer registration.
• Proof of firearms qualification within the last 12 months.
• Strong understanding of lawful use of force and de-escalation.
• Must provide own firearm and duty gear compliant with DCJS regulations.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior military, law enforcement, or private security experience.
• CPR/First Aid/Stop the Bleed certification.
• Familiarity with access control, CCTV, or patrol operations.
• Excellent situational awareness and communication skills.

Compensation:

• Unarmed Officers: $20 – $24 per hour
• Armed Officers: $25 – $30 per hour
  (Pay based on experience, assignment, and availability.)
