We are seeking a responsible and engaging babysitter for our two well-behaved children, ages 9 and 12, in Jersey City, NJ. The position is ideal for a current college or graduate school student based on the Upper West Side (UWS) or Upper East Side (UES), as after-school care will be needed Monday through Friday. You will be working approximately 12-15 hours per week, with start times at 4:45 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, 4:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and at 1:45 PM on Fridays. Responsibilities include supervising our daughter with her phonics homework, although this is not a tutoring position, just oversight. Candidates must be educated in American English to assist with homework and must be professional and respectful, meeting our standards for care. We prefer someone from the UES or UWS who is looking for a long-term commitment through June when the school year ends. We value the caregivers who work with us and treat them with respect.
